slave 2nd HDD for CDRW?

Thanks for the replies people. 2nd Q?
Is it possible to dedicate my old 8GB HDD to the CD burner?
I read that this is the optimum way to burn CD's?

For best burning performance, have the source and CDRW drive one on primary and one on secondary. Probably have the HDD on primary and the CDRW on secondary.
