Hi,

My specs:

Board: MSI Z77A-G45 | Bios: Version 2.13B1 | GPU: MSI GeForce GT 710 1GB | PSU: Corsair HX650 | CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.9GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 77W | MEM: Kingston PC3-10700 1333Mhz 2x8GB | HDD: WD Caviar Black 1TB | SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SATA III | COOLER: Noctua NH-C12P SE14 | OC: (Turbo) 4.1Ghz 1.211 CPUV ram: 1333Mhz 1.5v | OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit v1809 build 17763.1098

After investigating for quite a while I found out that my SLC cache is filling up to the 22GB and, writing directly to the TLC, my write speed drops down to 300MB/s. The weird is if I change some setting in UEFI(any setting) the SLC cache flushes and my speeds return to normal. Could this be a conflict between the 860 EVO and the UEFI?

Damn it! A 50GB file isn't handled by the SLC cache. I tried a 20GB file and some more files and the cache is fully filled again, nothing to do with Kaspersky. Any more ideas? Maybe a faulty SSD?

Sorry for the mess!

Regards,

The SSD is not faulty, I finally discovered what was causing the issue. In fact, there were some background services interfering with SLC cache flush. I've disabled them and all works fine now. I recovered my speeds!
