SLI Cooling with no PCIE slot inbetween

I am planning a build, running two 1080s in SLI on a m-atx board. The problem is, I'm planning on using the Define Mini C. With that case, the two configs for SLI I can have are having no slot inbetween them, so the fans would have no room to breathe, or having 1 slot inbetween but the bottom card would have its fans pressed against the psu shroud. Which would be better? If it helps, I'm planning on using reference coolers, but if aftermarket would be better, let me know please.

Thanks in advance!

I feel the reference style may be better cause it pulls up and through the card and exits out the front of the card/ case . aftermarket just circulates its air all over inside the case little maybe expelled out ..

MSI made a sli bridge like this with a fan ?? maybe make your own homemade one out of a old case fan ??

Thank you for the answers! I was looking at the TURBO cards, and they would actually fit really well with my theme, so I will be using those. That fan SLI bridge is a smart idea, may DIY something like that.
