Sli currpting windows issues

Hi well I put in another video card in my computer and every thing went well until I enabled sli in the invidia control panel and shortly after the monitor started blinking and it corrupted windows. So the next day I taken the other graphics card out and turned it back on. Then I was able to restore windows with a restore point that was created. Can some one tell me what did I do wrong?

Please list full PC spec. Only thing I can think of is your PSU is not up to the job and when the PC crashed it corrupted Windows

Well I just found out that the new NVidia drivers were messing up some people computers and I was installing that at the time my computer messed up.

I have a gigabyte z97x mother board

gtx 970

16 gigs of ram
