hello i have two nvidia gtx 760's both have the same amount of cuda cores (1152) and clock speed ect ect ect. i cant get them to SLI and nvidia is telling me that its becasue they have different vram sizes. one has 4gb the other has 2gb. anyone know a way around this. it seems like a stupid problem.

Solution
You cant, they need to have the same amount of memory, as the cards mirror the amount of RAM. If one card has more than the other, they cant mirror properly.

yea seems that way. i tried flashing one bios to the other and reverse. it ran stable for a few hours and even alloud me to sli but eventually started bsoding. i may try again if i have a weekend to screw around with it. to me it seems like if i can trick the 4gig card into thinking its the 2gig version that would be my only shot. the 4gig version is the same piece of equipment with the exception of the newer bios and more available vram. maybe i dont know enough about the hardware design but i cant see why that wouldnt work

Nvidia officially says its not possible, but it used to be.

The method that worked in the past used to involve making edits with Coolbits. Sorry, that's the best I can do right now, but you should do a search for "Coolbits" and something like "SLI with mismatched memory" into your searches.
