Hello I'm facing a huge problem and not sure how to proceed from here.

firstly i'm planning to build me a new pc in begining of the new year and i've been researching alot and been asking around alot.

ok here is my aim that i'm going to be building...

Intel I920 Cpu
Gigabyte GA-EX58-Extreme
Kingston DDR3-2000 ( 2gb x3 )
1 500gb Seagate 7200rpm 32meg cache sata2
1 1,5tb seagate 7200rpm 32meg cache sata 2
cooler master storm sniper case
cooler master V10 cpu cooler
cooler master extreme power 700w
2 LG sata Dvd writers

now my planning so far has been going around putting in 2 Saphire Ati radeon HD4670 1gb cards and connecting them to SLI

since i've not had any first hand experience with SLI i need advice what to do...

i can buy 2 Sapphire HD4670 radeon for the same price as the Sapphire HD5750 and for a little extra i can even get the HD5770

i'm very tempted to get 2 hd5770 but my budget is stretch...

OK here is my question after all this info and blabbering...

what will give me better performance? if i get 2 HD4670 cards in SLI or if i only get one HD5750/HD5770 with the option to later upgrade to a second card?

Kind Regards Johan

Just to be clear, linking several ATI cards together is known as CrossFire. The term "SLI" only applies to Nvidia cards.

Before you decide on what GPU setup you want to use, what are you planning to do? Game? What's the resolution you want to game at? Yes, two or more cards working in tandem usually performs better than just one card, but it can be overkill for your display, wasting your money.

btw, if you are worried about budget, get DDR3-1600 memory, bound to be quite a bit cheaper

get a rid of one of the dvd drives

change the motherboard to the ASUS P6T SE since you only want crossfire support
