slightly bent pins

I just bought a msi x99a gaming 7 motherboard for $30 on letgo but I noticed some of the pins are bent. What the impact for performance and how can i fix it?

Slight bends can be straightened out. Tweezers (or similar), credit card etc can all be used to straighten them out.

It takes time and patience, but it can definitely be done.


As for impact to performance using it "as is" - that can range from it failing to post/boot, RAM not detected, random crashes/lockups/BSODs etc, the potential symptoms are near unlimited.

Question from paxie_games : "fixing a old pc"

While fixing a older pc I bent some of the pins on the motherboard and I also noticed some of the pins were missing. Im not sure if they were missing before or I broke them off while trying to fix it. I did boot up the computer and it seemed fine. Is there anything wrong in the future that might happen?
