Slow boot on SSD.

A friend of mine recently recommended me the Sandisk Ultra II 240GB SSD. After I bought it and installed it I noticed that my boot times were much slower than my friend's. Mine starts about the same speed as a HDD. We both have the drive connected to a SATA 3 port due to the lack of SATA 6 ports but that doesn't seem to be the problem because as mentioned we both use SATA 3 for them. His boot times are 6 seconds from POST to Desktop. And mine takes about 30 seconds.

Setup:
MOBO: Asus M3A
CPU: AMD athlon 64 x2 6000+ 3GHz
GPU AMD Radeon hd 6670 ultimate edition 1GB
RAM: 4GB 1066Mhz
SSD: Sandisk Ultra II 240GB
HDD: Maxtor 6Y160M0 160GB

Solution
There is good news and bad news.

The good news is there is nothing wrong with your SanDisk Ultra II ssd.

You have an old AMD based motherboard that was released at the end of 2007 - one year before consumer ssd's were introduced to the public. It is a basic entry level motherboard that did not have all of the features of other motherboards at the time. The motherboard had performance issues that were documented, including ssd compatibility issues. You already know that your motherboard does not properly support modern 3rd generation SATA 3 6Gb/s solid state drives like the SanDisk Ultra II.
Hey there, meganukebmp.

I'd recommend that you check the SSD with a different SATA port and SATA cables, to see if the same thing happens again. You could also download an SSD diagnostics tool and test the drive, to see if anything alarming pops-up. It would be even better if you could test it and run a benchmark tool while connected to a different computer and compare the results with yours.

edit: Just saw @Mattios' comment, he has a point there.

Please let me know how everything goes.

The OS is a fresh install.
His specs are:
MOBO: Asus m3a78
CPU: AMD Athlon x64 x2 3500+ 2,2Ghz
RAM: 8GB 800Mhz
GPU: AMD Radeon hd 6770 2GB
SSD: Sandisk Ultra II 480GB
HDD: None

Him and I both bought our PC's at about the same time hence the resemblances.

Tested on different SATA ports and CrystalDIsk shows SSD health at 100% no problems. Only 1 TB written.
I will connect the SSD to my other PC and tell you how it goes.

Any results from when you've tried the SSD with the other computer? It's a bit odd for you to get different performances. Are you sure that both of you have configured everything the same way (AHCI/IDE SATA mode, enable TRIM etc). You could try resetting/updating the BIOS or look for an update for the SSD's firmware.

Yes tested on my friend's system. Boots fast. All of the SSD firmware is up to date. BIOS too..

If this is the case, then it seems like there's no problem with the SSD or the OS. If the HDD has any issues it might lead to similar problems. I'd recommend that you backup any important data you may have on it (just in case) and download the HDD manufacturer's diagnostics tool to test it for errors and bad sectors. Also try to boot from your SSD with the HDD disconnected from the computer.
