Slow business applications due to video?

About a 6 months ago I upgraded to a pair of 4k monitors and a Quadro K4200 video card. I run the cards at 30FPS using display port 1.2. My PC is a 4th gen I7 with an SSD and 20GB of 1600MHz RAM, so no slouch there. I have a cable modem, and speed tests report download 18Mbits/sec and upload of 1.2Mbits/sec. Running windows 10, but it was the same with windows 8.

My problem is that business applications (powerpoint, excel, word) and web browsing are very slow. Scrolling a pdf takes about 1 second to regenerate a page of text. It takes forever for CNN.com and many other sites to load; about 15 seconds. Viewing my 8MP camera images takes 2 to 3 seconds to load each image. Yet if I play a video at youtube, even full screen at HD settings, its silky smooth without any hiccups.

Before I upgraded to these 4k monitors I had a pair of HD (1920x1080) monitors using the built in HD4000 GPU in the CPU. Its all around speed was fine, no issues.

Let me be clear that I'm not doing any gaming. Just business and web surfing.

I'm trying to understand if its just that I have a pair of 4k monitors and even a K4200 is not sufficient? Would that really dramatically slow down web pages from loading?

Thanks.

Sounds like software issues. Do you have ccleaner? If not look into it. Check for startup programs in ccleaner and end any that do not need to start with your pc. Also clean the registry.
Ive made worlds of difference in computer speeds with ccleaner alone.
