I have two Linksys WAG200G Routers. I use one as an EXTERNAL - ADSL Gateway, with the wireless disabled. The other is use as INTERNAL - Wireless Router on our internal network. This means I can swap them to maintain an internet connection, should one fail. I have had them for years and they have always operated flawlessly. I'm not sure that the problem I have, is with the Routers.
My problem is that I have very slow connection times when switching between Websites. No problems when switching between pages on the same Website. Sometimes the sites time out. Usually several F5's sort it out, but it's taking ages and is a real pain. We've pinged www.google.com and not been able to connect, yet we have got a reply from 220.244.136.44. So we think it is a DNS Server connection problem. Our ISP, Club Telco use 202.136.45.245 and 202.136.45.246 as Primary DNS Servers. But the Modems actually connect to 123.3.6.66 and 123.3.7.66 if you look at their Status Page.
Club Telco, seem puzzled too. We've tried everything we can think of. Re-loading their configs from backup, doing factory resets and careful manual reconfiguration from screen shots that were taken when they were working and connecting properly. We swapped our modems over too. Nothing has made any difference.
Any ideas anyone?
