Hello,

My system contains 3 disk:

1 SSD wich contains my OS (Windows 8)
2 HDD's wich contain my data

Both HDD are 2TB green Western Digital drives (WD20EADS-00R6B0) they are the same age (4 years).

Now my problem is that 1 of those HDD's is extremly slow, i already did some tests using HD Tune

What do you guys think that my problem could be? And what possible solutions there could be to solve my problem?

Results of HD Tune:

Benchmark result of the good HDD for comparison:

Solution
The drive in question seems to be ok. Try to run CHKDSK from CMD, if there is a file system error, it would correct it.

Or try to format the drive and create fresh partitions. See how it perform.

Ok I tried this and it did find something in stage 2 of 3 but the scan didn't get past 60% the CMD command just stopped and was ready to enter a new command without showing a reason why it stopped.

I will try formatting after i tried the CHKDSK on an other pc maybe it will finnish there.

Both of those tests passed

The CHKDSK command gives a little more information now it says insufficient storage space to correct errors.
I have been trying to delete some unimportant data but it wont delete everything i selected.

Ok so in the end I tried formatting the drive but that didnt work not through windows nor CMD. So I put the disk in an other pc tried formatting there and it worked like a charm. Then i put the disk back in the original pc did the HD Tune benchmark again and all looks well.
