Slow internet speed...

So like now i have a download speed of 4.19 Mbps and upload speed of 12.23 Mbps normally i have a download speed of 70+Mbps and upload speed of 30+Mbsp. It comes often and its just random when it happend and when it first happens that the speed go down it stays like that for almost a day(sometimes more than a day like 2-5 days).

Do you have a router, or are you connected only to your modem? Are other devices like this affected? Have you contacted your ISP to see if they are doing any work ?

I have a router and the ISP says everything should be working fine, And its only my computer that is affected by it or thats how it feels like.

So go to speedof.me and run another speed test. If the results are still low, go to Safe Mode with Networking, and access speedof.me again, and let me know the results. If they go up, it's a software issue, if not, it's hardware and we will do some more troubleshooting.

So we are talking hardware. Couple of things we can try:

1) Find the exact type of card you have, and go to the manufacture's website, and download the latest driver for your OS.

2) Find a known good Ethernet cable. Try different ports on your router. If you have a laptop, test the cable on the port on your router as well.

3) The last time your speeds were good, go do a System Restore to rollback. You could have caused a driver change

4) You may need to replace it by getting a network adapter as it is possible your card is dying.

Ok I'm a noob 2 pc stuff how can i find what type of card i have?

It does seem slightly better.

If this is a pre-built PC, go to the brand's website (Dell, HP, etc) put in your model number and look for network adapters.

If you built this, or someone built it for you:
In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager, and then select Device Manager from the list of results.
In Device Manager, select Network adapters > the network adapter name.

You will then google that brand and get the right drivers.

So I updated my driver and I am getting 90mbps now. So I think its fixed I built my pc in 2010 at the age of 9 so i didn't know what I was doin' back then Thanks for the help!

No worries, usually drivers should be the first thing you check, which is why I put it at the top. Glad you got it working.
