Hello my computer has a slow start up ,the single beep that would happen when you first turn it on , now it takes about twenty seconds to hear instead of straight away, any ideas, thanks red

the post checks the hardware components in your computer, since it still gives the single beep it meens it passes all checks.
However appearantly one of these checks takes longer, the only variable I can think of during the post is the ram.

So I would say check your ram, memtest is a good way to check it, let it go for atleast 5 cycles.

Also a cmos memory-size-mismatch could make it lagup a bit i guess, check if you ram-sticks are the same in each dual channel slot and check if the bios shows them as the same.
Also check if what the bios says about your ram-sticks actually corresponds with the ram-sticks.
