[strike]I have a Lenovo iomega ix2 (2x1tb, raid1) connected to a TP-LINK W8980 router, using Gigabit ethernet connection (confirmed by the amber and green led on the back of the ix2). However, i experience painfully slow transfer speed (around 2MB/s) and I can't figure it out why it is so slow. The web interface says that both the hard drives are ok, so maybe it is a configuration problem. What can I do?[/strike]
EDIT: it seems that the bad guy is the router (TP-LINK W8980), because I connected the pc to the nas directly through Ethernet and the speed was around 80~100 MB/s. Tried on another pc using WiFi (802.11n of course) and the transfer speed was again slow (~2 MB/s).
I tried to transfer a file from a wireless notebook to a wired PC instead of the NAS and i get similar slow transfer speed
However, wireless streaming from a notebook to the Chromecast (which passes through the router) is very smooth even with high quality setting turned on.
I don't know what to do either, maybe it's a strange setting on the router? It's updated to the latest firmware available.
Thanks in advance for your support!
