I purchased this monitor literally 2 weeks ago http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=24-236-114
I've run into a problem, occasionally small thin horizontal lines will appear along the right edge. They tend to be a similar color to what ever is being displayed, but are very pixelated and random, they look like something drawn in MS paint. Also they tend to stay in the same place on a web page, i can scroll them on and off the screen.
These lines did not appear on my old monitor as of 2 weeks ago. I've just recently cleaned the dust from my graphics card and on top of that my card almost never even exceeds 60c when under load so I'm doubting its heat related.
They usually appear when I have a high-res photograph up, or am watching HD stuff on youtube. They do not appear when watching HD movies in VLC player, or when in a fullscreen game.
The lines go away for a while after turning the monitor off and back on, also I originally thought it might be a cord problem so I swapped cords with my old monitor but they still showed up again eventually, also after jostling the cord around a bit one time the lines took up 1/3 of the screen for a few seconds, so I'm pretty sure its a problem somewhere in the connection.
Is there anything I can do to remedy this? or do I need to decide to deal with it, or go through the RMA process?
