Im currently in college and im getting a gaming/design pc hopefully soon. i would have to carry this back home when i visit home(few times a month) and over friend's houses. so im thinking a small case may be better for me.

this is my current build and i do not plan on switching out any components unless its because it wouldnt fit in a smaller case(like the mobo ofcourse) http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ThatGuy2u2/saved/jGfD4D

do you think i should go with maybe a mini itx case? and could you recommend a good mobo for what ever smaller case you think i should get? also, one of my fears is the heating/ventalation with smaller cases because as you can see im not buying any extra fans(which is why i have the cooler master), would a mini tower, micro, or itx case heat up and fry my pc? if the case comes with a fan it needs to be quite for when im up late in my dorms.

thanks for the help

ever hear of the Thermaltake Armor A30i ?

Oo that is a nice looking case, very rugged. Makes me think of the inside of the firefly for some reason, or items in half-life.

I've had a quick browse over a review on anandtech:

Take note at the temps & noise levels. It seems to fall in the middle of the pack which in my eyes means it's acceptable.

Like all the micro-builds - your first main issue is going to be the space available. From quickly looking at the specs, it has limited space for GPU's: 9.5" / 242mm

Pretty sure this means you have to get a low profile graphics card (don't quote me on that).

What i would suggest is go to the site you normally buy off (for me in the UK this is overclockers, ebuyer & aria), go through all the Micro ATX cases, short list the ones you like the look of. Narrow that list down to what can have full sized graphics cards & PSU's, then with the ones left.. ready some reviews!

i actually found a tiny atx case lol, its cooler master so it should have good ventilation
