Smart t.v. as monitor, sleep wake function

Building an HTPC, want to use smart tv for monitor only, can I do this? Will it act like a monitor, standby when there is not htmi input, and "wake" with a wireless keyboard?

^This...I have my 55" 4K HDR TV set up this way with my PC and consoles (no cable as I cut the cord). Though the are days I want to turn it off...bump my switch when grabbing one of my controllers for PC or xbox...blam input switches on me and I have to find the remote. Turn on TV with my receiver set to PC (or any other input other then TV) then after 10 seconds my TV pushes the receiver input to switch to TV regardless of what input was on before making me hunt down a remote. As a whole the function does what it says but as stated has it's own headaches.
