Call me out of touch or cheap, but ever since mobile phone companies stopped "subsidizing" the cost of smartphones and just had consumers pay the whole price. I have since become extremely weary about getting a new phone. However my Samsung Note 3 which is getting close to 5 years old, barely works anymore.
I can't justify paying $400-1,000 on a new smartphone (or the monthly additional phone price add-on) when the hardware specs inside are only marginal better then my phone. So until the next HUGE upgrade such as foldable phones comes out, I've decided to just get a decent smartphone to take the place of my dying phone.
But I could really use some advice on a decent Android smartphone that will work on Verizon, only costs around $200 or slightly more, and will work for web browsing, youtube, minimal gaming, minimal photos.
For everything else I'll get a tablet (eventually) or use my computer.
So, if anyone could recommend a decent smartphone, I'd be grateful.
