Smudges behind LCD screen (pictures included)

Hey there,

I'm having some weird issue with my monitor (benq xl2411t. I just moved it to a different room and suddenly these weird smudges under the screen http://i.imgur.com/Mmo7C2a.jpg. Is this fixable or is there something wrong internally ?

(this doesn't show on certain colors like bright white, yellow and black)

Looks like it got hit with something, if it can't be cleaned from the outside then it's damaged. Probably cannot fix that without replacing the LCD panel. Got a warranty?

It's a 4-5 year old monitor so I no longer got warranty. I tried different cables and switched from DVI to HDMI without success. So I guess the LCD panel is damaged. So I guess Ill have to replace it.
