I've had this computer for around 4 months now and everything is fine
apart from the built in card reader. It isn't detected in either
windows xp or linux.
I've checked all the cables are plugged in to the right places, and as
far as I can tell they are. All the usb ports work fine and I have
enabled usb 1.1 & 2 in the bios settings.
Has anyone else had this problem? I can't find anything anywhere about
it, any help would be apreciated.

Simon

Have you installed the device driver?

In the kits I have purchased, there is a CD with a number of drivers for
Windows. I am not sure where you would fine the Linux drivers but,
again, in the kits I have purchased the Mandrake CD seemed to have
everything I needed.

After I completed assembly and installed the OS, I used the CD to
complete the driver installations.

Thanks for the reply

I didn't install it myself, it was built in to the computer. I've
checked the driver disk that came with it and there are no drivers for
the card reader on it.
I did try downloading the drivers for the card reader kit from the
Shuttle site but this didn't work either.

Simon.

That's too bad. This news group has become somewhat quiet lately. You
might post your question at this site:

Click on Forums and locate the XPC group.

Simon

I have the same problem, almost

My card reader worked fine until I installed SP1 for Windows XP, when
it just ceased to exist...

I have rung CCL Computers (who supplied my SN85) and they said "we
know!", but could only suggest I contact shuttle in the states.

I am constantly scouring the web for an answer.
