So I built my first pc yesterday and it had a few problems booting but I eventually managed to get it going. Got the OS installed set everything up and even watched a few videos on YouTube with it all working fine! I turned it off last night and when I woke up this morning it won't turn back on at all.. what could be the issue here? I've removed everything that doesn't need to be there. Even the graphics card and still nothing..

Any one have any ideas?

Solution
Before you return the motherboard (you'll be removing it anyway so not a lot lost). You should 'breadboard' it, which should rule out stuff like a broken power switch on the PC. Basically this means running the motherboard outside the case on the box and shorting the power pins to get it all to switch on.

If this fails then look up how to test your PSU when it isn't connected to the motherboard (you can start it again by connecting certain pins). Take it to a different power socket and plug it in with a different cable (if you have one). If the PSU fans spin up and the motherboard shows no signs of life outside the case then I agree with Jimmy you should box the motherboard up and organise...
Not much info to go on but best guess is maybe during the build you lost a screw or somme other metal piece, and it may have touched something on the back of the mobo while power running though it, can short out a bucnh of stuff. Usullly if the sytem fires up and runs, it doens't just stop the next day. Get the thing rutrned quick if it still won't work. And don't tell em u fired it up, just say dead on arrival, happens with mobos alot and any reputable store will just swap it out within 15 days. Goodluck

I built my own couple times from microcenter and 1 my 1st setups, the mobo came dead on arrival, I took the pc back apart (annoying) and exchanged the mobo. If you can't even get the bios to fire up, it has to be the mobo, as to what caused it, who knows but once something is "blown" in a mobo, it's done

But it was all working fine yesterday the only thing I did to it was turn it off and I did that the proper way.. I can't afford anything else like all my savings went into this and if it's the mobo that's blown over night it must be my fault because it was working when I got it. Are you guys sure there's nothing else I can do? The fans aren't even working.. could it be the psu?

For a start, you didn't post your spec.
To go on, provide us more info. Does the motherboard have any led indication it is working?Do you have a speaker connected?Does it have qleds?
Did you try another PSU? Did you try removing all things but the necessary ones(on board graphics, 1 single RAM , no HD ,no SSD, no Optical disk) ?
