So I was thinking of upgrading my computer for a bit o cash...hopefully i figure around 640 USD Right now I have

2800 AMD Barton OC'd to 3200
9800 Pro 128mb Gfx
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe mobo
1 gig CORSAIR memory XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, Low Latency 512MB 64MX64 PC-3200LLPT With Platinum
WD WESTERN DIGITAL 40GB 7200RPM EIDE HARD DRIVE MODEL # WD400JB
ENERMAX EG465P-VE(FMA). 431W Power supply for AMD K7 & Pentium4. Meet AMD K7 and Intel ATX +12V 1.1 and ATX 2.03 version

And am thinking of getting new CPU, MOBO and GFX card
as of yet I have decided on
Jaton Video- 7800GT Geforce 256mb Gddr4 PCI-epxree @289
3700 San Diego @225
and the MSI K8n 939 Socket MOBo @126

I just wanted to know if everyone thinks these look alright together? I know the current ram I have is the same Pin -184 as the new mobo so that shouldnt be a problem the only thing I can think of is the PSU...or anything i couldnt think of.

Any Comments?

Thanks,

What about buying a 3500+ AMD and with the money saved put it into a better GFX card like the ASUS X1800XL.
I think they perform better than the nvidia cards and they put out a better picture!
The mobo is a good one-I know this because I have one! 😀

But otherwise the PC will be good!

yeah but the 3500 is only 20 dollars cheaper then the 3700.....so is the gfx card only that much more expensive?
EDIT: Also is the psu ok for this or what are what are the factors that I need to check out on the PSU first?

Not sure but waiting is usually a good thing as somthing new might come out or the price might drop but you never can be sure. 8)
