So how do you clean up after the upgrade?

Upgrade to windows 10 went well and I'm sure I don't want to roll back. Now the question at hand here is, what measures can I take to free up drive space that was taken by the download of the upgrade itself and the backup of the previous version of Windows?

You need to run disk cleanup (windows key + r and type in cleanmgr.exe). After it scans and starts press on clean system files (it scans again and can take a while). Then go through the list and tick on the stuff you want to remove.

Edit. Windows.old and some other stuff can only be removed like this (atleast in a easy way).
