so i was going to just overclock my gpu by about 50 mhz not much but I accidentally turned the slider up to over 1200 mhz and my screen froze and had to restart my pc. do you think my gpu is damaged by it. its a gtx 1060 with not much of anomalies after restart

What software were you using to overclock it?
If it works again without problems, its probably not damaged.
It it were damaged, you would probably be greeted with artifacts all over your screen.
Plus i highly doubt you can damage a card by just increasing the core/memory clock, you would need to mess with the voltage which can actually damage your card.

i upped the power target by 116% memory by about 250 and gpu frequency base clock offset by 1200. luckily my gpu can stay stable at 225 base clock offset and 500 memory clock. and the software was set to revert to before overclock at boot
