Question So I have a 3200MT/s ram but it runs at 2666MT/s ? (SODIMM)

I have a DELL Laptop vostro 3491 . Service Tag - 2P09B53 ( if that helps ) . I came with DDR4-2666 . I recently bought DDR4-3200 ram but HWinfo and windows task manager shows it runs at 2667 mode . And YES 1600Mhz is a jedec profile .

HWiNFO informs you that your memory kit is running at BCLK x 13.33. Which is 1330 MHz or 2666 Mbps. I recently had this issue as well with one of my laptops, I fixed it by removing the CMOS battery and then plugging it back in.

Dude its still 2667 Mhz . My cpu supports 3200mhz . Bios settings all reset after cmos battery removal but ram problem not solved .

List the exact model ram. Did you just add to the existing ram? Or completely separate?

If you've mixed 2666mhz ram with 3200mhz, then it will default to the lowest common denominator.

well its complicated as its a fake ram . I mean the sticker is sk hynix but the spd reader says its samsung . Maybe they used samsung's components ? So i will just give the part no. for samsung -k4a8g085wc-bcwe . And samsung website mentions this part no. ram as 3200mbps . Original ram will arrive tomorrow if lucky . Will try that and report back .

You might want to update the bios looks like what you have is a little old.

Already tried as another guy suggested by cmos method bios reset but ram still in 2667mhz in bios and windows ofc . But i will do that again with the new ram it came today .

You might want to update the bios looks like what you have is a little old.

I am on latest version which was released in december 2023 .
