Well..this sounds like a broken laptop.
Make, model, what does it actually do if you try to start it up?

Probably broke the HDMI off the mainboard, you might be able to buy parts on ebay. LCD and a motherboard to repair if cheap enough. Or consider a new laptop with current specs.
