So my MSi laptop has 2 ram slots, the first one is the original laptop ram (samsung brand) and the second one is empty so i put the corsair ram there. After its done i run command prompt to check wether it got installed properly or not

wmic memorychip get devicelocator, manufacturer
DeviceLocator Manufacturer
ChannelA-DIMM0 Samsung
ChannelB-DIMM0 029E

im concerned, am i just got scammed with a fake corsair ram?

most likely not a scam
can you use CPU-Z instead?

or try command
wmic memorychip get devicelocator, partnumber
oh wow thank you, yea its legit. i just worried since i got my ram cheaper than the other stores that sells the exact same. i feel so dumb right now, i forgot to check slot 3 on CPU-Z, the ram is stored in slot 1 and 3

wmic memorychip get devicelocator, partnumber
DeviceLocator PartNumber
ChannelA-DIMM0 M471A1K43CB1-CTD
ChannelB-DIMM0 CMSX8GX4M1A2666C18
Also thank you for this nice command too, hope you have a good day
