I have a MSI MPG x570 gaming plus Motherboard...equipped with a Ryzen 7 5800XT processor DDR4 ram 650Watt PSU....GTX 1080ti Video card, ssd m.2 drive..............

Anyways the Computer Bios has been updated too the latest version and has been running great for like 6 months but then like this week the computer started making weird noises while running although performance was unchanged during this 1 week period....

An then one day the Computer would not boot up and go into Windows or even Bios.... Just a Black Screen when Powered on and the Motherboard Led Debug Mode is stuck on CPU with a red Light....Now I have Swapped out PSU's tried Different ram sticks even tried 3 different types of Processors

I got a lot of spare parts over the years.... tried a ryzen 1700x and a ryzen 2600x along with a ryzen 3600x anyways I have done **** ton of tests and even tried taking out the CMOS battery and also hitting the Reset Bios Button with a Different version of Bios loaded into the USB bios port

and Nothing Same results everytime the Motherboard just stays stuck on that LED Debug Mode with the Processor red light on and a black screen the Computer also shuts down after like 30 seconds give or take but ya............

.I think my Motherboard is ***** if there is any other things someone could think of I could do too try and fix the problem before I buy another Motherboard I will listen.

Describe the "weird noises".

Have you tried resetting BIOS per the motherboard's User Guide Manual?

Replacing the CMOS battery with a new, fresh battery?

Booting into safe mode?

= = = =

Power down, unplug, open the case.

Clean out dust and debris.

Verify by sight and feel that all connectors, cards, RAM, jumpers, and case connections are fully and firmly in place.

Use a bright flashlight to inspect everywhere for signs of damage or other problems.

I did forget too mention one thing during that week we had a bad lighting storm come thru and the whole house lost power this took place while my computer was running....maybe that has something to do with it.

I think im just gonna buy a ASUS TUF Gaming B550-PLUS motherboard

Replacing the motherboard may help, but if a lightening strike impacted only the motherboard I would be surprised.

You mentioned testing other components. How did you do that?

Was this system connected to an UPS? Surge suppressor?

Motherboards has gotten more reliable in the recent years due to more quality capacitors but they do go out. Makes me wonder why people buy expensive mobos when they have no big advantages compared to cheaper ones...
