[SOLVED] So I'm screwed then? New Build, flashing light then immediately off

I took everything out of the case after the same issue with the flashing for a second then going out. So now I only have the CPU in with the heatsink. It's an Z390 Aorus motherboard -

I assume the motherboard is dead?

I guess I don't have one then. So there's no way to do this now? I've never ran into this before so I'm still confused on what's going on.


Edit - So wait, I'll have to buy a new (compatible) CPU... to get my CPU to work...?

Not sure I can explain it clearer than already described. Your CPU version (R0) is only compatible with that motherboard if the proper BIOS version (F7 or newer) is installed on it. Nothing to be confused about.

If the motherboard has that version (or newer), then you could have a DOA motherboard. The CPU is likely okay (they don't often fail).

I guess I need to buy a new motherboard and make sure it has the bios version I need?
