Question So im trying to forward a port through a computer, then router

i'm out in the country so for internet I'm using a dedicated phone with PDAnet, connected to a computer, which is internet sharing to the router and that whole setup always stays on. I have the port forwarded on the router but when i check if the port is open
its not. so does anyone have an idea how to figure out where the problem is?

On your computer, how do you do "Internet sharing"? It is here where the forwarding would happen.

But - since you're using cellular Internet, I'd be very surprised if your phone -> PDAnet -> computer gets public IP address, so port forwarding (even if doable) is useless.
