The problem being that the P4P800-E changed so that it only has one IDE connector for the Promise raid chip, the other connector is SATA. You can still hook up two IDE drives, but they'll be on same cable. Personally, I prefer to have them on seperate cables/channels if I'm setting up IDE raid.
The P4P800 Deluxe (no -E), had two IDE RAID connectors he wants, but it stopped shipping sometime last year. I bought it for this very reason, to get IDE raid to continue using two relaible smaller IDE drives I keep around for backup purposes.
Not sure what options there are really available for htis anymore. i'd probably pick a motherboard, and then get a discrete PATA raid card.
