Difference between SDRAM and SODDIM?
A laptop i want to get says this:
8GB (8GB x 1) DDR4 2133MHz SDRAM, 1 x SODIMM socket.
Does it mean it onyl has 1 slot for ram?

It means it has one slot for RAM, yes. It also means that only a DDR4 SODIMM will fit in the slot, and it recommends 2133MHz.

To determine how many ram slots your laptop has, you need to read laptop manual
(or know laptop model at least).

SDRAM - Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory - basically any ram (almost).
DIMM and SODIMM are formats, DIMM for desktops, SODIMM for laptops.
