SoftFSB, what are *.ppl files for? Mobo ident.?

I've tried SoftFSB with five different boards and two CPUs (k62 450 and CelII566) and it wouldn't work right for a couple of them. I've downloaded the ppl stuff, but I don´t what it is for. I suspect it is to recognice the clock signal generator, but if so how do I make them work. Just put them in the directory? Thanks.

YEAH, YOU HAVE TO PUT THE .PLL FILE IN THE SAME DIRECTORY SO THAT WHEN YOU START UP FSB, IT WILL FIND THE FILE. THEY ARE WRITTEN SPECIFICALLY FOR CERTAIN MOTHERBOARDS. HOPE THAT HELPS.
