[SOLVED] Software to import and sync Photos/Files across multiple devices.

I have a FreeNAS storage box, a 2 TB HDD, and a 32GB SD card that goes in the camera. Is there a program that when all three a plugged in, can take the photos from the SD card and put them on both the HDD and NAS box and also make sure the files between the HDD and NAS are synced. Basically, I want to take photos from my camera and put them on the HDD but also have a backup of the HDD on the NAS. Is there a program that can sync them for me when plugged in?

There are almost certainly applications that will do that.

But it is probably better to download the pics to the PC, and then backup the whole drive (or Incremental) to the NAS. Because its not just the phtots you need backed up.
That is the basis for my whole backup routine.

With risk to be damned - Windows Photo app makes quite a good job of downloading and organizing photos off SD/CF cards. Many more photo organizing apps do the same. Once you download, it isa simple doubleclick on "Sync" utility (many available, from Microsoft' SyncToy and RoboCopy) to make copy / backup to the NAS.

Since no OS prerequisition mention, here is what I use for this:

• Any Linux desktop distro
• Rapid Photo Downloader
• remote shell or a shared folder
• rsync (included in most if not all Distros)
