Hello all: I have built many performance PC's before. This build will be a SOHO for my wife's assisted living home. Roughly I'm thinking budget with a little extra under $800.00 or close. Maybe an AMD Gen5 graphics CPU. AOK but nothing fancy except for a quality motherboard, Medium tower case should work. Also, RAM and power supply. Do not need a monitor.
Your input is requested! :)
Thanks
Jeff

Get a dell. If it breaks, they call the 800 number and somebody fixes it or replaces it.

Sure they are. Sorry guy. Used their keys for a very longtime on multiple machines. Never a MS cutoff. What are you thinking, you get some elite key for $100.00? Windows 10 is an obsolete operating system.
No, I believe in paying for my software. If I don't want to pay that price, then I use Linux.
I don't buy gasoline from "a guy" with a 200 gallon tank in his yard because it is only $1 / gallon. I pay $3 / gallon (where I live, today). Am I a fool for buying retail gasoline ? Same with software, IMO.

Bad analogy. I pay for all my commercial software and donate to shareware I use. Software cops from the 90's..

Totally reasonable analogy. Microsoft and Microsoft authorized resellers are where you buy legitimate OS licenses. That is the equivalent to buying at a name brand gas station. Any other place to buy Exxon gasoline has questionable origins. Same with software licenses, IMO.
