[SOLVED] Solid border on monitors can't be removed

Hi guys

I'm new here but been working with PC, software and programming for a long time, so working with hardware and software isn't new

Now I have this odd issue. Im running on a setup with 2 x Asus Strix GTX970 graphics cards in a SLI setup and just bought 3 new curved monitors, that supports AMD Freesync, not Nvidia GSync.Tthe monitors are AOC 27G1G4 27" curved monitors https://eu.aoc.com/en/gaming-monitors/c27g1. All monitors have a solid border to the left, right and above within the display. I've been through all the monitor configuration on both Windows, Nvidia drivers and the OSD on the monitor.

The monitors are connected as such: 1 via a dual link DVI-HDMI cable, 1 via HDMI and 1 via Displayport. They all run 144hz.

I've tried altering the frequency of the monitors to see if the border were gone, but they weren't.

So I guess it's come to either some compatibility issue with the monitors and my nVidia GPU's, since the monitors supports AMD and the GPU's support nVidia.

That OR they monitors are pure trash and are badly designed.

Can anyone shed some lights on this? Who has some experience on this? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Yes, but can't it be removed? I wan't the picture to stretch the entire way to the physical border.

That is the physical border. There is no more display beyond that point.

I think what's being said is, that your monitors are not able to display any kind of image beyond what you are seeing now, the black bars are the limit.

Even if you look at the promo-images shown on the product page you link'ed to yourself, you can see the black bars / the actual border of your display in the photos

Perhaps I've been hysterical. So that 5mm black border between the picture and the monitors physical plastic-frame is perfectly normal?

I wouldn't exactly say hysterical, I can understand why you were wondering how to set it up, if you thought it was possible.

But as far as I can tell, your monitors' image / display, looks perfectly normal, and even matches the pictures on the product page.

Yeah, seen pictures of them and some 4-5 youtube videos and they show the same. Thanks for your help, mate. Was rdy to return the monitors, but no need for that
