Solid case recommendation

I am looking for an ATX sized case for someone who will be carrying it fairly often. He took his computer on a bus recently and when he reached destination there was a bowl sized dent in the case and since christmas is comming i would like to surprise him with something that wont dent like that. I was looking maybe at the nzxt s340 for its full steel construction but its a bit on the high end of my budget (100CAD aproximatly). Dont care if its pretty it just needs to be built like a tank and be fairly portable.

You can't get 'built like a tank' and 'portable' It just doesn't work like that. You will have to compromise.

Looks to be a very solid case, but I doubt something that puts a bowl sized dent in a case would be stopped by almost any consumer case.
I would still second the P400, but other precautions need to be taken to prevent damage like that.

Well to be fair he had a flimsy 20$ case. That didnt help. Sorry that ive been unclear. I guess anything with steel thicker than .7mm would be fairly good. I was tempted by the s340 as its side panels are quite thick

The S340 is also another good choice, but the Phanteks has much better build quality and is a better case.
