Hello,
Will a SSD replace the SATA HD now installed in my Dell Precision 670 PC? Will it mount in the bracket now being used for the HD?

You should be able to have them both in the SSD for OS and apps and the HDD for storage. Many SSD's come with an adapter to fit them in 3.5" drive bay.
