Solution of 1 tb sata hard disk showing in bios; but while formating in shows 31

my friend found 1 tb sata hard disk that showing in bios; but while formating the same harddisk it shows 31 MB
i have tried this trice but it won'tgetted 1 tb
pls help me out 🙁 🙁
