TL;DR version: replace/check PCI-E cables to the GPU.
This is just a quick note for anyone having issues with their PC monitors going black while gaming (or just in general) while the PC is still running; this may be a resolution for you. I've had this problem for several months, when recently I noticed whenever the issue occured, my GPU lights would also turn off. This led me to realize there was an issue with one my PCI-E cables (8-pin). It was loose/wiggly while the 6-pin was secure. After replacing said cable, I haven't had the issue since.
