TLDR: One stick DOA, no solution.
Ryzen 1500X
Gigabyte AX370 Gaming K5
Asus GTX 1070Ti
BIOS Version F21
Windows version 1709, build 16299.309
I have a 2x4GB kit of Corsair LPX 3000Mhz. Both sticks have been fully tested in multiple slots and they are both definitely good. I can get my system to boot, most of the time, when it doesn't give me a kernel BSOD, with all of it installed, and I can do things like browse internet and such like I'm doing now, but any 3D programs eventually crash or immediately crash when I run them, games, heaven, etc. When it happens everything freezes, goes black, then several seconds later comes back on. The only thing that hasn't outright crashed due to this is Heaven. When I have 4GB installed and overclock it to 2933 I have no problems, besides the shortage of RAM. Windows boots into safe mode and everything just fine. I've done everything I can to determine that it is not a hardware issue. I've also run the file system checker and come up with no errors. Any help is appreciated.

Update: I read that uninstalling the Nvidia audio driver fixed this issue for another person with a near identical issue, I did it and there is definitely a difference: The display driver does not immediately crash when loading into overwatch, but it still does after a minute or 2

Win10 is up to date, this has been a problem for around a month or so now. BIOS version F21. Chipset driver is from AMD, not manufacturer, as I'd been reading that manufacturer chipset drivers were not recommended.

I haven't been OCing the RAM when I've been trying to get the 8GB pair to work. I've only OCed the single 4GB because I know it works with no issues with XMP. I just want the 8GB pair to work first, then I'll start getting it up to rated speeds.

The timings on the label are 15-17-17-35. BIOS comes up with 15-17-17-17-35 in the normal timings. Not sure if this is a serious issue or if that's just the timings for 3000Mhz or something

That seems to have worked...Mostly. It is still happening, still can't game. It's not nearly as dramatic anymore when the driver crashes and restarts. It just freezes for a couple seconds then bam its back again. In event viewer it shows Event number 10016 immediately or a minute before the display driver crashes, if that helps.

I did look up the fix for it and I did that. Weird thing is it didn't stop the errors, they're still coming up just as frequently. Will try them in different slots.
Update 2: Still getting them

It is usual for different timings and voltages for each of the listed frequencies as shown under the SPD tab within CPU-Z. So there shouldn't be an issue there.

Try running under an elevated command prompt (administrator rights) - SFC /scannow to check the system files (and repair any corrupt files).

So I guess the one way I didn't/forgot to test the RAM was putting each of them in the same slot and making sure it posts on each by itself. I thought I'd done this, but I guess not. Windows doesn't detect any errors in its RAM test, and it's detected just fine by the OS. I'm an idiot. I've never received a DOA part before.

I did that. Twice :) Thank you for all your help, even if it was for nothing. I learned a lot of different troubleshooting methods though so it wasn't entirely unproductive. Will be seeing how corsairs warranty stuff works since it's been a month since I bought it off amazon.
