Question Some desktop icons changed and I need help

Some of my desktop icons have changed to the picture linked below. I can revert some of the icons back to their original icon but some of them I cant. Like I click apply the icon but it wont apply.

check the hard drive for errors with its manufacturer´s tool and if available, update the firmware

Any idea how to solve this?

You should not be keeping exe files on desktop.
Make a designated folder for your exe files ( like c:\my_files or something like that).
And place shortcuts to those files on desktop.

BTW - your desktop seems to be syncing to onedrive.
That's why you get those green checkmarks on icons.
