Question Some games freeze my computer while exiting

This issue started happening yesterday. First, I thought it was only red dead 2, but then I figured out it is only newer games such as watch dogs 2, red dead 2 that have this issue. whenever I try exiting them, my whole computer freezes and the hard disk or something seems to be spinning. I tried an older game like mafia 2 and it dosen't have this issue. I have tried alt+tab,alt f4 and everything but it dosent help. I have to force shut down. The only workaround I have is to alt+enter and exit through windowed mode. Please help me.

16 gb ram ddr4
radeon pro 580 graphics [8 gb vram]
2 tb hybrid drive
