Hello! I have a big problem with my computer. I will be grateful if you give me a moment. One day I turned on the black screen when switching on. I could not log into the system. I tried to enter windows 7 using safe mode to repair the system. Unfortunately, it failed. SSD Vertex 4 128 GB. I thought to myself that the disk is damaged so I would make sure I removed it from the computer, plugged it under the external 2.5 enclosure and connected the USB to the notebook. This is the message about connecting the new device, but I can not open it . What do you think, does it mean that the disc has been damaged after several years or is it not? Greetings!

Solution
If you've tried connecting the SSD to other donor machines and it's not visible their, then the drive has called it quits. If it's shown in BIOS, if it also appears in Disk Manager and you can find it in Disk Part, then the partition/OS might've gotten corrupt and the drive is salvageable, just need to reinstall the OS.

How old is the SSD?
