Some programs not loading, as well yt and fb videos not working.

This is a bit of a strange query as first of all my browser (Chrome) started to slow down and was very jaggedy when I scrolled through pages, and around 2 weeks later youtube and facebook videos have stopped loading completely and I occasionally get a Shockwave has crashed message. And finally every now and then some videos do work for say 30 mins or so then they just go back to no loading again.

And also very recently just after I tryed to fix the problems I can't open programs E.g like steam and spotify (Unless i set them to open on boot).

So far I have tried installing new versions of my driver and flash, and changing the DNS servers to google's, and nothing has seemed to work so far.

Check settings for hardware acceleration - if on turn off, if off turn on
