Hi guys.

i Am currenly using a Intel Q6600 OC 3.0ghz with Asus p5n-D mobo. and i am using Asus silent knight 2 as a stock hs cooler.

Ok heres the problem, when i jus install the HS cooler, without overclocked,

my temp was 40 and below, but now its always constant to 48 without doing any task. i use HWmonitor and CoreTemp to monitor my temp.

During Stress test, my temp will go up to 60-62 but without any error for maybe 2 hours?

On 2.6ghz, i ran Stress test overnight and tempreature was constant at 60 . :S

Is there any issue or i am wrong?

As long as you don't go over intels max voltage and tempurature for your Q6600 you should be fine. Check there website for info.

60C seems alot for 2.6ghz, You shouldn't need any voltage increase for such a minor OC, Are you increasing the voltage or is your motherboard doing it automaticaly?

What thermal paste did you use?

That is a pretty hight temperature. For my Q6600 I simply increased the FSB to 33 to get a clock of 3.0GHz, it is running now at 37 degrees, about 40 - 45 on boot. I have a Zalman heatsink.

I would make sure you have the heatsink mounted properly? And use Arctic Silver...dam good thermal paste.
