someone help me with m.2 nvme drive

im considering getting the intel 600p nvme ssd. i have a z97 board with a 4790 and a gtx1070 in it. if i get this drive will it slow my cpu or gpu down or will i be just fine? thank you in advance
 
Storage uses PCIe lanes from the chipset.
GPU is using the PCIe lance from CPU.
so no slow down.
I went for much cheaper Sundisk X400 SSD since the real life performance difference between M.2 NVMe and M.2 SATA drives is next to none.
My setup is very similar to yours.

As far as motherboards with NVMe support, Asus supports all their Z97 boards with a BIOS update. Gigabyte supports some but not all Z97 boards with a BIOS update. Here is the list:

I have no idea what motherboard you have.
