I think we should build all of these. Just because they would all pretty much rock. Heh.

Looks good to me to😵nly that hideous color of that cooler bugs me,but that's me.I like things to match color with a window and that blue/white with that black/red of the motherboard imo just doesn't match. There's a red/white one for $5 more,at least is that a little better, well imo of course. 😉

Also tried to find a nice (semi) modular psu that's good, can only come up with this one,but it's already $20 more,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-power-supply-capstone550m
or this one,but can't figure out why it's in tier 3,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/thermaltake-power-supply-pstpd0550mpcgus1
i thought that their toughpower series were good.It also has a combo deal with the dvd player you chose.I would take my chance with this one,but again that's me.
There's also this one,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/antec-power-supply-hcg620m
but an older design and almost as expensive as the first option. In tier 2A none the less.
Ah,just saw this thermaltake toughpower, with 650watts it's higher in that tier list,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/thermaltake-power-supply-pstpd0650mpcgus1
Then again, for a few dollarsmore is there this one that even keeps the option for sli open,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/thermaltake-power-supply-pstpd0750mpcgus1
You're already over budget so maybe you have the funds for it.Is with promo code and ends on 10/9,so a few days left.

Just some extra options to think about.

It's the one you posted before that last one.The performance will be the same in the end,the cpu and gpu are the same.

I like it better because imo it's more balanced,
the ram in that last one is overkill imo,for gaming do you really need only 8gb's,
the case a shabby example when compared to that phantek case.
You spend a lot on that 16gb of ram and need to buy such a .... case to keep an eye on your budget and you still way over, not talking about the added peripherals.

Looked a bit and this is already less expensive with still a nice case and 16gb's of ram,

You might also like this case,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/enermax-case-eca3280abr
just look for youself a bit and choose a decent one.

I wanted to put in this cooler, but it has a green fan 😛,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/deepcool-cpu-cooler-lucifer
read some reviews about it,also about the case(s) you like.
Another good cooler for the price,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/raijintek-cpu-cooler-0p105245
with that red fan maybe more likable.

Changed the wifi adapter too,i have this one and like it,but if you want your choice is that fine with me.The one i chose has a blinking green led so in sight might that be annoying.

Aight thanks :) also why motherboard change?
Is the one you chose better? Sorry i ask im just new to pc parts not bein sarcastic or anything

Also is everything i need there or will i need like a different cable or adapter or something??

No need to apologize for asking questions. 😉

I chose this one for the price/performance,it's cheaper and on a day to day base is it a good choice and will also give about as good overclocking options as the msi board.

Yes,the motherboard i chose comes with 4 sata cables and the rest comes with the psu.

The one i chose is cheaper and you most probably will be able to overclock it to that 1.14 ghz that the msi 970 works on.Such a minor difference in clocks only yields maybe one or two fps anyway. It's imo more marketing than something else.

If you want that msi motherboard and gpu is that up to you,it's going to be your pc and it's your money. They are however more expensive and i tried within reason and wishes to keep an eye on your budget which you are already over by quite a margin.

You didn't mention the rendering in your o.p.You're way over your initial budget with this.

Why that gpu? What was the reason? I'm not saying that it isn't better, but just that it is expensive and that the gtx 970 should be good enough and better considering your budget looking at price/performance.

Other questions, seeing you're not wanting or going to overclock,do you eventually want to go for sli? Is two gpu's in the system working together for better performance.

If not going for sli an alternative for that build,
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/jZXkbv
again kept an eye on your budget here. You can run it by that mod if you want to.Maybe he/she can join us here for a reaction?
You could go for this ssd and shave $20 of the totall,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/crucial-internal-hard-drive-ct256mx100ssd1would get you under $1300

Would you mind not having an igp? This is the integrated gpu in the processor.

An alternative build again,
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/jWKXhM
with a xeon (=no igp) in it and a sli capable motherboard.Again can you run this by that mod of course.
With the more expensive motherboard still cheaper=$1270.53

Most games btw do support sli and the ones that don't are most of the times old(er) and will one gtx 970 be enough. Those games would just run on one card.
Sometimes with new games are the drivers still a bit buggy when it comes to sli,but "they" fix those problems as soon as possible.

It gives better game performance,so more fps, when games support it.
It's also a way to,when your current gpu doesn't cut it anymore with future games for instance, boost game performance in the future by adding a second (=same chip) gpu.

Any reaction from that mod on the builds?

Do you really need that second gpu right now?
What kind of screen are you using? If it is 1080p@60hrz is there imo no need for it right now.

In your o.p. you state this,

the budget of $1200
now there's no limit?

It looks good, but with an unlimited budget could you do better.Like case or psu for instance.Maybe an even better cooler or even keeping the overclock option open.

Where's the mod? Let him talk some sense into you.

Show me the mod! :bounce: 😀

No all you did is try to give the worst pc cuz ur jealous my first build will be better than your junk
