We currently have mac practice on our mac computer we use a laboratory named bioreference which mac practice uses a interface/bridge with to provide us with patient lab results and us provide them with patient information for billing purposes. Now we haven't received any of our labs or been able to provide information due to the interface being down why we are not sure. I have contacted mac practice and they stated our port is not open they are not able to receive or provide any information for us. This has become a really big issue Ive contacted optimum as they are our network provider and they as well were not helpful in the matter. These are the following provides that continue to occur: in our router management there shows that the port is there that we use for the exchange of information but the ip address we need to have as the local host does not appear on the list and there appears to be no way of adding it. At this point i reached out to mac practice again an shared screen when he went on crushftp it showed the port is denied so i add under port trigging the port that we need to have open, when he repeated the diagnosis check it showed it was successful the port is open but internal only external they can not enter. We rebooted the router and got in contact with IT from optimum again and they simply stated there was nothing they could do that there services do not offer that feature which is bs because we have had this feature for 2 yrs. Now i have a question in the network configuration there showed that port 80 and 25 are off? Will that be the cause of us not receiving the information we need even tho the port mac practice uses is not the same numbers? Please help me

It sounds like your network/firewall is not configured correctly. Both optimum and mac practice have confirmed that the problem is on your end. Neither of them can be expected to fix what is your problem.
This should be a fairly simple problem for someone who knows what they are doing. In my opinion, your only reasonable option is to pay someone to configure and support your network. Fixing your problem should take an on-site knowledgeable person no more than an hour or so. The money you spend will be well worth it.
