As the title says, something has been eating up all of my memory as seen here: http://imgur.com/cAmlPSH
I dont think my computer slowed down as a cause of it but lately i was getting Warning windows popping up while playing games asking me if i want to terminate the process (the game) because i was running low on memory. Even when i decline, the game crashes/closes on its ow after a few seconds.
This problem started appearing recently. I didnt make any major changes to the computer or install any new questionable software (only steam games).
As shown in the picture, i have 8GB of ram: 2x4gb G.SKILL Ripjaws DDR3 1333MHz
I did some research on these types of cases and some people suggest it may be a virus/malware thats causing this but a recent scan found nothing. Others say its a memory leak but failed to provide a fix for it.
Any ideas what it might be?
Id appreciate any help, thank you!

When I had a memory leak problem I installed a RAM manager called Memory Cleaner. Here's the official site:

Memory Cleaners or Memory Managers or Memory Boosters are not usually recommended to manage your ram but if there's one thing they
really do well it's to stop memory leaking. So, give it a try if you want.

i already tried this and it didnt have much of an effect. very little was freed up and some programs just kept starting up again

currently its telling me i have 8gb of ram. so the sticks must be in there like they should
